Summer break is fast approaching, and for many parents, the biggest challenge is the same: how to tear children away from their smartphone screens? Bans and "taking the phone away" often only work in the short term, and boredom quickly leads back to aimless scrolling through "TikTok" or "YouTube" videos. But what if the best solution lies not in banning technology, but in its meaningful use?
Imagine a summer where your child isn't playing games on their phone, but is modeling, soldering, designing, and creating real, tangible things using modern equipment! This is exactly the kind of opportunity offered by exciting children's summer camps from BRATUS Technology Academy. This is the ideal environment where children naturally forget about their phones because their hands and minds are occupied with practical STEM projects.
Why is "BRATUS" the best summer camp for children in 2026?
When looking for available summer camps in Latvia, parents often encounter a uniform offering. BRATUS camps in Ķekava (a great alternative if you are looking for children's summer camps in Riga or nearby) are designed to combine the learning of future technologies with active recreation.
Children work according to the principle: "Idea → design → production". Everything created during the camp, from a simple sketch on paper, turns by the end of the day into a real product that the youngster can proudly take home.
If you are interested in summer camps 2026, "BRATUS" offers two main, technology-rich programs:
1. STEM Equipment Camp (CREATE CAMP)
If your goal is to find exciting summer camps for children, this is a great opportunity to dive into the world of digital production. Instead of just looking at a screen, participants will learn for themselves how CO₂ laser machines, 3D printers, CNC routers, vinyl cutters, and fiber lasers work and what they can create. It is a fantastic summer camp to learn how to manufacture, design stickers, and engrave on various materials!

They will literally create their own functional devices!

Balance: Technology and Active Recreation
When looking for summer camps, parents often wonder – does a technology camp mean sitting at a computer from morning to night? Absolutely not! The BRATUS organizers have ensured a balanced daily schedule.
The morning begins with active waking up. While the morning and afternoon sessions are taken up by technology workshops, the middle of the day is set aside for physical activities and team games. This way, children get moving, make new friends, and learn to collaborate in the real world, not the virtual one.
Give your child the opportunity to grow!
When a child sees the fruits of their labor (whether it be a 3D-printed object or a soldered circuit), the smartphone automatically stays in the background. It is an experience that lays the foundations for a future profession.
The application system is convenient – reserving a spot requires only a 50€ deposit. Since the demand for programs like summer camp for children 2026 is huge and the number of spots is strictly limited, do not put off this valuable decision until the last minute!
