Material processing limits
100W CO2 laser is optimized for non-metallic materials. No marketing here – just facts about how the machine behaves in real-world conditions.
Organic glass (Acrylic)
The best material for CO2 technology. 100W power provides a clear, polished cut edge up to 15-18mm thick in a single pass. Cutting speed drops significantly above 10mm.
Wood and Plywood
Precise cutting, but expect smoke marks and charring on the edges. Strong air assist is mandatory to prevent material ignition and lens contamination.
Metal (Limitations)
The 10.6µm CO2 wavelength reflects off bare metal. 100W power does not cut metal. Marking is possible only using a special paste (e.g., Cermark) baked into the surface.
Leather and Rubber
Excellent speed for engraving and cutting parts. Working with natural leather creates a strong, distinct odor – an activated carbon filter or direct outdoor venting is necessary.
Note: The laser tube lifespan depends on cooling stability. Never operate the machine without the chiller turned on.
